Window is Wack! any pointers..?

Greetings,
I am new to this forum and was wondering if anyone could give me some assistance or point me in the right direction to where I can find what I am looking for.

The other day I rolled down the drivers window (power windows) on my '95 4runner and I refused to go back up. When I hit the button, the window motor still makes a noise, but when I pulled the panel off, I could see that the gear is not moving at all. Unfortunately, due to circumstances, I had to force the window back up, probably wrecking all the teeth on the gear.

I would love to fix myself, but am not really sure as to what the problem could be, Nor do I know how to gain access to that part of the door. I know how to take off the main interior panel, but not the slightest idea how to open it right up and remove the window mechanism.

Any information is greatly appreciated!!
Cheers,
Jonathan,

sounds like the gears inside the motor broke and needs to be replaced, go to a wrecking yard and get one from a used 4runner and replace yours

Definitely sounds like the motor crapped out. It is fairly common. Most auto stores will carry a new motor.
