Geo's have SUZUKI motors dude....check it lol
my dad and i have rebuilt 3 geo motors..all with over 200,000 miles on em, one was 2 were failed oil pumps..so they ate up the bearings..and the 3rd just needed it...the 3rd one also had 244,000 on it
..by far the best little cars my family has ever owned..our Civic is also very reliable..LOL
BUT anyways LOL..yes the '89-'95 ext cab trucks are great..it's what i wanted lol...but i found my '92 4runner..and for $1200..i couldn't pass it up even if it does have a couple of knocks LOL

Use to be my ride...
My 91' that I owned since new. Road salt and brine ate the cab away and we had to part ways. I looked for months for a replacement cab and never found one. I miss her though, but she's got a geat new owner near Buffalo, NY now...and she's ahellovalot better looking in it than I ever was.

Loving this thread!
The canopy was nice for camping and such but it's heavy and really noticeable with the 3.0. I'm gonna run a can-back later. I gotta get her running first then worry about that stuff later.
I've had this thing since it was brand new so it just made sense to me to put the time and money into the 3.4. I'm hoping it pays off when I turn the key for the first time.

I used it in the Pa. winters.
Never noticed that tire that close, but it never hit...not that I remember. I sold her 2 years ago....very bad day in my life...her and I were thru lot from 91 to 07'...very sad day.
The front bumper is a Wincher out of Kennesaw Mtn.....VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE...BUMPER WAS OVER 6 MONTHS PAST THEIR PROMISED DELIVERY DATE. The back bumper was a Stout Equipment out of New Mexico....sadly they Stout no longer makes'em as far as I know, but that thing could lift the truck and hold its weight if lifted straight up...it is that strong...very well built...excellent craftsmanship....not cheap though...cost me over $1100 when truck shipped.

yepppp..im gonna try..LOL..i kinda wanna get the wiring harness from that one website that i got bookmarked LOL( cant remember the name off the top of my head).
the swap doesn't seem hard???..it's almost plug n play...especially since it all bolts in..and i can use a lot of my stock parts..
i think i can do the swap for arounddd..$1000 or so...not including the price for the motor..lol
of course i could be wrong LOL
gonna do the 2" body lift for multiple reasons other than not having to cut the hood lol
and theres a Tacoma prerunner around here (with e-locked rear end
) that has a 3.4..but it's auto
lol..and i know the woman would let go of the motor for a decent price...BUT IT'S AUTO!!! FML lmao
the wiring is definitely the hardest part i've read about so far.....for sure
