How will the injector spray if there is no fuel pressure? The injector is a nozzle and a valve, not a pump.

If you put a little bit of fuel into the end of the injector and touch it to a battery I grant you that it will spray. I lost a bet to that. I replaced injectors in my old 88 pickup, 22re because they were bad. A old mechanic told me to check them just like I told him to do and I told him that he was full of s***. Well sure enough he came up and tested it. The old one only dribbled. He took one of my new ones and buddy I swear it sprayed. The ole guy told me that the fuel system on a EFI vehicle is only pressurized to ensure that each injector received the same amount of fuel. The injector itself only allows so much of fuel to enter there for spraying into the engine. Correct me someone if I'm incorrect

This is all good stuff. Thank you Toyota~Boy. A bit too advance for me but when I run into my gear headed friend, he'll be able to help out.

Unfortunately I did not run a compression check today. I will be doing all 4 and from what I seen on the internet, people do a wet and dry, so I will do both.

Stay tuned

***UPDATE***

Finally able to do a compression test for the first time (DRY) and here are the results.

(front)
#1 - 130
#2 - 125
#3 - 145
#4 - 135 (the "bad" one)

These numbers are estimated based off the needle on the compressor gauge.

In the next week or 2 we are planning to pull the motor and finally put my engnbdr kit to use.

In the mean time. What else could it be?
