Where to get switched 12V for heated O2 sensor
I recently installed a LC engineering header on my '87 22RE 4runner. At steady state cruise on the highway after about 2-3 minutes, the check engine light comes on. Talked to LC tech support, and did some forum crawling, and it seams the solution is to go to a heated O2 sensor, as the added efficiency and additional distance to the O2 is causing it to not run quite hot enough (stock is single wire non-heated).
So, I've got the 4 wire universal O2 sensor. Where is the best place to get a switched 12V under the hood for this application?

I'm in the same situation right now.... MAYBE, lol. I'm watching, and PLEASE, post up if you find the answer.
Curious... I would probably want to use a Denso-Heated, or some other LONGER probe Sensor... the LCE flange on our headers is SO THICK.... That's good, but it keeps others, like Bosch, etc., from REALLY getting in there, ya know?
Did you try to pass smog with your set up? REALLY curious if you have... Cuz I CAN NOT pass. Not saying "IT'S THE HEADER SET UP", LOL..... just trying to rule it out, ya know?
I was told by a GURU here in Torrance that does ONLY Japanese and KNOWS 22RE's, 3.0's, etc. .... He said, "Use a 92-96 Heated Ford Escort Sensor".... He wasn't positive on the years, it'd been a while since he found that problem.
Man, SCRIBEDEDED for sure! best wishes!
PS> Here's my "CA SMOG FAILURE" thread... and the build has most of it too... That's in my sig. PEACE! >>>>
