If you're talking about this connector, I figured it for a ground wire for the efi system. I put it on the bolt right above where the canister bolts to the intake.

Does anybody know what this connector is called, because when I try to start my vehicle the motor does not turn over, so I am guessing that it has something to do with this connector? please help!

where should i ground it out too and i am extremely grateful for your reply, to put things in to perspective when i was tightening the polts om the oilpump on the timing cover i over torqued it and it broke so i had to drive to the auto wrecker to get a new one before they closed and when i got back i had to remove the broken stud thankfully for easyouts then i cant find where that connecter goes so i go to start the vehicle and no go.not my day

i had written with a paint marker on the throttle body where it bolts on to the intake, by one bolt i marked the letter g for a ground but i smudged the marking does this seem like a likely place to be and yes i did check my other ground connections thank you very much for your reply.

When I bought a 90 4x4 Toyota, 22RE. I saw the same wire dangling. It was too short to reach frame, I just used mounting bolt of EFI for ground. I never did know what it was for, but just grounded it for peace of mind.
