Where does this hose go?

It’s been a few years since I put a Weber carb on this 22R but I think the hose from this port used to go to the air filter that came with the factory carb. There’s no port on the Weber air filter. It’s been running pretty good with the hose hanging. I know it’s preventing any pressure from building in the crankcase ( which I believe is not good). Where should this hose go to? Thanks

According to the net on quite a few pics looks like you’re correct and it goes to the air cleaner. I have an RE so I’m not to familiar of its function besides a breather of some sort

Edit: sorry I just re read, I’m not sure what folks are doing with it after the factory air cleaner is removed I’m sure someone will chime in.

So I’m bored here are some other pics off the net, I see some with a mini breather and some with a 90 on the underside of the Weber air cleaner assembly, so not sure if they popped a hole in the corner and just threw a 90 and a hose on it or if some air cleaner assembly’s have the 90 pre installed?

Thanks much for the photos, been responding but the reception wasn’t good enough, I put that hose from the valve cover up to the port on the intake for the charcoal canister goes. But it caused a bad sound like a hoarse wheezing coming from the crankcase or valves so I left it as it was, dangling. Guess it needs to go to the air cleaner. I’ll try calling Weber ( Redline) again.

If you pull up Toyota 22r Weber air cleaner assembly pics on the net from what I see most if not all have a hole or flanged hole on that corner where the 90 fitting is going so maybe the one you have just doesn’t have it? I’m not much help on anything carbed, my last car I had with a carb had a line for vacuum advance and a PCV and that’s it

I've just got a breather in there, but at least some of the Weber air cleaner assemblies have holes on the underside for a fitting to connect to that port on the valve cover. https://www.yotashop.com/air-filter-...ly-99217-332s/

That picture of the blue valve cover does look like the hose could be going to that air cleaner, which looks like the one I have. I'll look underneath it and see if it's got a hole.
Thanks very much
