Wheels...

Hey guys...new to this forum and it's very informative...good advice! Now I've searched already with no success on the size of stock rims that are on my '91 4x4 xcab. They aren't the aluminum ones but the other stock ones I believe are steel with 6 "holes" in the rim...now are they 15x6 or 15x7? I've had mixed responses in the past so I just want to get this right before I order new tires. Also if they are the 15x6 can I get away with taller and wider 33"x10.5? I just don't want to spend money on rims cause I'm also getting a rear locker, new leafs, sliders, ARB bullbar and so on...any help would be appreciated...and I'm not worried about hacking the fenders/body to get them to fit. I'd check but my truck is a couple hours away...going in for back surgery tomorrow! Thanks.

Roger Brown (4crawler) runs a 33x10.50 on 15x6. I'm sure that he will chime in with some better info for you. I'm running that same size with 15x7 without any problems. If I was at hoe I could give you a link thst explains your question. Like I said, Roger should come aroud soon.

Thanks for the responses guys...so if a 31x10.5 works then a 33x10.5 should work...no? Does the width of a rim have much affect on the height of a chosen tire? I know I'd want to go bigger (no bigger than 33") if I got a 31" so I want to do it right the first time...I'll also be getting gears with the tire change along with the other mods listed before. Thanks again in advance.

go to www.4crawler.com and look around for something on "rim width" or "tires". I know I have seen it on there before because he sent me a link a long time ago when I was purchasing rims and tires.

You could try PMing him as well ... 4crawler
