Wheel problem. Help.
so when i bought my truck, the guy i bought it from gave me a set of 16in wheels. Last week i mounted the tires to them, and i go to put them on today and the backs mounted up find, but i have a problem in the front, the wheels wont fit over the manual hubs all the way. It'll slide about 2inches on then it hits a wider part of the hub. Any simple fix for this like a set of wheel spacers? i mean i the wheels have a 1/4in lip that looks like i could have machined out they should fit then, but that would obviously be alot more expensive. Thoughts?

unless the wheels have huge backspacing, spacers won't help: like DC said the size of spacer you'd need would put too much stress on the wheel bearings.
boring out (milling) the center is the only solution. the wheels have plenty of clearance between the center and the lugs so as long as it's done right, shouldn't cause a problem.

took my wheels to a machine shop. got them back today.. they look good, not like they came from teh factory, but theres no adverse effect of the machining. Wheels now fit over my hubs. Yay! now i can go have my tires put BACK on and get this beast rolling again.
