Whats this?
i cleaned my engine today while waiting for my new altenator to come in and i found something that has a connection missing i was hoping someone could tell me what it is. my truck has been running fine besides this damn electrical bug that i cant seem to get rid of.well then i cant seem to upload the pic of it because it to big. but if you are standing at the drivers fender facing the engine it is about 2 inches to the left of the oil filter. any ideas? Its a 91 3.0 auto

it should already be hooked to something. If you don't have a gauge, you should at least have a low pressure warning light. the sending unit will be threaded into the main oil galley (horizontal rib looking thing running from the front to back of the engine)

I Auctually noticed a couple of those on my truck as well...Since it is running like a champ and all guages work I figure it is maybe the AC I dont have or some other option I dont have.

The oil galleries are inside the block, so you can't really see them from looking at the motor. They're just channels for the oil to circulate through the motor internals, if you didn't know.

you actually can see the galley. on a 22re it's on the passenger side, and it'll look like a rib or ridge running fore and aft horizontally of the oil filter.
