Don't know anything about ranchos but Monroe's are good shocks. I plan to put Monroe reflexs on my dakota

Munroes are good, I've heard Ranchos tend to give a stiff ride....

My latest truck, a 94, came with new Bilstiens and I really like the ride the give, not too stiff and not too soft....just right

they're made by the same company, ranchos are suited for more offroad use whereas the monroes moreso onroad.

I have monroe sensatracks in my 88. love them for onroad. Offroad is not to bad either. depends what you do most of. If you do mainly road go with monroe if you do 50% or more on dirt then go with rancho/bilstein

you know that's a lifetime warranty part, right?

I went with the rancho 5k's and i've got to say that i'm pretty impressed. not bad at all for as little as i paid. AND lifetime warranty. if they blew up every 6 mo i wouldn't care. IIRC i paid just under $150 total.
