I was able to make rails from a 95 4runner driver seat fit into my 89 4runner w/ a little fabrication. Mainly it just needed to be wider to accomodate my seat cushions and fit the bolt holes. (I only replaced the rails, because the gears stripped so the seat fell back no matter what, but the cushions were fine). Once we widened it, it nearly fit perfect. I was able to bolt it down with just my hands and a socket wrench. no spacers were needed or anything.

However if you try to just put a 95 4runner seat into your older model it will not fit because it will be too thin for the rails to bolt to the original holes. at least from my experience.

Hope this helps a little.

I took the bench seat out of ny 91 pickup and swapped in buckets from a 95 4runner. They bolted right up, I just had to make a plate with a nut welded to it for the front inner mount location on both sides. There is a hole in the correct place but the metal is really thin. Nice truck, the seats look good.

How much modification did you have to do and was it a tight fit once it was done? I've been thinking about trying some 97 seats in an 87 pickup xtra-cab

Sure why not...

95 and up the body is a little wider, seats a little larger. You need to add a longer cable between the inner and outer rails that attach to the lock mechanism for the fore aft seat adjustment, or drill and reinforce new holes.

No I don't have measurements or even know if new holes would overlap the original ones.

Your local mom and pop hardware store will have subtible wire and crimps and know exactly where they are, you local big box store will probably also but good luck finding anyone that knows where to find it.

From a 2nd Gen 4runner owner, stop stealing our seats! haha! We need nice seats that can go into our rides now! 20$ a pop, thats amazing, I was fighting tooth and nail to get a guy down to $220, he sold them to someone else for full price I presume.

I put sweet red leather bucket seats in my 94 4runner that I had found on local craigslist. The seats came with out any sliders on them and were not a direct bolt on. This was a lot of work but well worth it, I drilled out all the rivets on the sliders off my old seats and then bolted on the sliders onto the new buck seats, also dilled new holes in the floors, and the seats bolted in perfectly, ill snap some pics and post tomorrow.

They are comfy but I do also miss have recliners. They also sit a little higher up so my head is maybe an inch closer to the sealing and feels like I gave my black beauty a 1"lift haha. Unfortunately my 4runner is currently in my garage though rebuilding the engine from a blown HG, so haven't driven it a lot with the new seats, blew only a month after I installed them.

Id start by probably measuing the seats bolt pattern and comparing it to your truck and if that doesnt work, check on a nissan forum.
What part of Toyota pickup and 4runner forum got missed in your searching, registration, and posting here?
