yea with the 4x4 you can fit 33x10.50's stock with a little hammering od the pinch welds

Costco wouldn't sell me 33 x 10.5. They only sell what the vehicle had from the factory so I had to get 31's boooo.

33x10.5 is next.

I really liked the Expeditions west article. I want to set my truck up like that (expedition style)

I think I could fit 33's =) Dunno tho, I had some slight rubbing with these 31's before the 1.5" balljoint spacers (2" body lift). But my IFS is tweaked and bent and just plain messed up (accident, pass side). We'll see Im still hunting for a new straight frame. Have one lined up so stay tuned for a frame-up yota build =)

I have 31x10.5r15 Dunlop Mud Rovers right now on 15x8 wheels with I either 3.5" or 3.75" backspacing (forget) Unless I was running 35's (12.5" wide) 10.5" tread width is perfect, tho 33x10.5's are a rare size and not many tires come that size!

It has 1.5" BJ spacers, 2" rear lift shackles (I think they're 3" overstock?... 5" would of been better) and a 2" body lift (body lift is so pass side torsion bar fits!!!!!!)

I just thought I'd throw this out there; here is my junk with 1.5" shackles, 1.5" ball joint spacers, no body lift, and 36x12.50 Swampers. I couldn't daily drive or go wheeling with this setup, but I did drive it to work and the grocery store a couple of times just for the hell of it. The front rubbed a bit, but with fire wall tubbing it would have worked.

yeah, costco sucks like that. but i think if you just bring in your rims and say "put this size tire on them" and don't specifically say the vehicle it's intended to be used on, they do it.

I have never heard of a company that would refuse to sell you a tire. I know some of the place make suggestions about sticking with stock based of gas mileage, but in the end the customer is always in the right.

I actually had Sams Club refuse to sell me 285's. When I told the lady at the counter that I had aftermarket wheels, she said to me, "Well, if you take off the wheels, and bring them in, we'll put the tires on, but you won't get any warranty on them." I was like, "Uh, yeeeeaaaaahhhh, I'll get back to you on that." I boogied over to Big O and not only did they put on the 285's, they actually took care of the pinch weld for me, with me supervising.... I wouldn't buy their brand of tires, but as far as service, the one here in Bullhead's hard to beat...

The reason for Costco/Sams/Whoever not mounting non-OEM sizes is that dumb ass lawsuits and insurance keeps them from doing it. In the wake of the Firestone recalls a few years ago a ton of stuff has changed, and everybody is covering their asses, even if it means turning away sales.

Yeah, they will mount them on the rims, but not onto the truck, which of course voids all the lifetime rotate/balance benefits of buying tires at Costco...

Oh they will rub, I have the OME ball-joint spacers and the 901 rear springs and I still rub front and rear under full stuff.

When I went to go purchase my truck this past novermber, I had a buddy come with me since he has had nothing but 4runners since he was 16. He was suprised to see that it had 33x12.5 on it. He also has an 88 and he didnt think they would fit on a stock set up
