What is this [or, more vacuum madness]??

Who am I and why would I have one of my 3 ports plugged with a screw?
This is on a 92 3.0

Is your truck a 5-speed or auto.. The auto's use the third port and the manuals only use the two....
I found this out when the one on my 5-speed truck broke and I had to replace it with one from my auto equipped parts truck...

He's right. Unless yours is auto, don't worry about it. Manuals have a rubber cap on one of the ports from the factory anyway(mine does).

It looks like somebody busted the nipple off that sucker there, so bye bye went the cap. I'd pull that screw out and fill the hole with some RTV/silicone or epoxy. That's pretty hokey like that.

Well, mine is (of course) automatic. So what is it called and where do it go? Am asking because I can't sort it out in FSM read through. Oh, and BTW I am about to replace the adjacent (to the right in the pic) Cold Start Injector due to idle issues...(and perhaps the crappy electrical tape while I'm at it)

Maybe PO removed some stuff. I removed a bunch of un-needed vacuum stuff, found a few vacuum leaks in the process.

First step, go to the dealer and get a new vacuum diagram sticker for under your hood (assuming you can't read yours) then go through ALL your vacuum lines and make sure everything is 100% straight. The FSM doesn't do a very good job of covering everthing, from what I have found.
