What Large Sockets For Toyota Work?

I stumbled on a good deal on 3/4" drive breaker bar today. Now I want to know what size sockets I should look for. On the small end I see that I cold find a 19mm. Maybe I'll try to go as low as 17mm. What other sizes would be useful? I know 3/4" drive sounds like overkill, but when you live in the rust belt it comes in handy.

I must be somewhere near the rust belt I though 1/2" or bigger was standard kit. The lug wrench I use for torsion bars is 11/16th IIRC so yes to a 17mm.

Hub nuts(2wd&4wd differ?), diff drain plugs, strut bars, cab and bed mounts, frame cross brace, rear engine/tranny mount, spring mounts, diff u-bolts.

Those are all the ones that come to mind off hand but I don't have the sizes handy. Please if someone could fill them do. Thank you

I know 17 is used on the transmission, and I think either 19 or 21 is used on the crossmember bolts. And then a 21 or so on crankshaft bolt. You know, I'd just invest in a high quality set of 16 or 17+.. It's always useful to have that bolt when you need it

19 -24mm, 30mm. That will cover lug nuts, shock nuts, Front/Rear Diffs, TC, tranny, Pinion nut, suspension castle nuts, etc.

Or...

Just get 1 3/4 to 1/2 adapter and use your old socket set.

17mm, 19mm, 21mm (Lugnuts), 22mm, 24mm, some 27mm and 30mm stuff. 54mm socket for front spindle nuts.

Fwiw, the ONLY thing on a Toyota that is 21mm is the LugNuts

I've broken a few craftsman adapters on bigger torqued bolts..just a warning, I suppose.

Well good! 17 and 19 are on the way, and I've already got one of those 54mm stamped metal spindle nut sockets.
