I just ordered the LCE street header. Pretty pumped, I hope it gets here soon. I chose ground shipping and it looks like that's free so I though that was pretty cool. Now I just need to order a high flow cat. Does anyone know where I can find a good deal on one of the universal jobs?
The advance auto website has one for $75 which is the cheapest I've found, it says it's a magnaflow so it must be high flow right? Or does magnaflow make OEM cats too?

So are you going to weld the cat right to the connector pipe? Or are you going to have both flanges of the connector pipe, a flange to the front side of the cat, then welded all the way back?

I'm going to weld the cat right to the pipe, it can always be cut out and or adjusted later. The universal fit cats are a little cheaper too. I have checked ebay, I guess maybe the prices of cats have gone up since I bought my last 4 years or so ago. I picked up a bolt in magnaflow high flow for my 95 4Runner for $60 if I remember correctly.

Thanks, I saw that one for $100 free shipping, I guess I could always just bolt it up and cut the outlet flange off and weld it. The reason I'm talking about doing this is because I plan on keeping my 2" pipes I have on here now as they're only 6 months old, and the shop that I take it to will want to weld it anyways, It's fine with me they do really good work cheap.

does anyone have thorleys? I have a LCE peice on my 92 and I feel that the power band climbs up higher than stock. Compared to my stock 88, My 88 feels way more powerful off the line and picks up when given gas. My 92 on the other hand is a little reluctant at first but once you reach 3k rpm it screams like no other. I want to try thorleys to see if the torque is better than the lces. Any imput? Oh and pruney you will be very satisfied with your LCE headers. My 92 is in saipan and the salt spray from the ocean rusts everything but my headers are nice and tinted but not rusted

I've had my LCE header on for over a month (nothing else....long story - LCE Pro Flow system in the garage still), and it sounds awesome. Plus it looks great in the engine bay - best looking thing in there! It's built well and looks great. you get what you pay for.

If I had the money- I'd go for the ti-y's Doug's or NorthWest I think, but since I don't- I bought the LCE which I think for the money are very well, built retain their looks and most imortant- FIT perfectly. For my driving- the tri-y's would be better- but $600-800 way too much. I also did the entire exhaust with stock bolt in Magnaflow cat, and Walker Dynomax cat back, fit well and quiet. And yes power does kick in around 3k. Just finished putting a bigger valved head on and waiting to move the airbox.

I just got a voicemail from John at LC Engineering and he said that I'm going to have to wait for my headers to come off the production line then they will send them out to be ceramic coated. He said they won't be ready to ship for about a week and a half. At least I know they're gonna ceramic coat them. haha
Does anyone know what diameter the collector pipe is? The reason I ask is because I want keep my 2" pipes and just weld a high flow cat directly to the pipe.

What about the TRD header? I bought one for my 85 22r but now I want to use it on my 22re are they the same? What about the pollution stuff, can I get rid of it or will that make the truck run bad? New to toyota's so I am trying to learn. Thanks guys.
