What happens when u used mismathched ring and pinions?

What happens when u used mismathched ring and pinions?
This!!
I used a ring from 1 3rd, a pinion from another, and case/carrier from another...I knew this was gonna happen before I even started.... but that was 60k miles ago!!! I had to tear it out, and re-adjust it a couple times to keep chatter to a minimum, and I guess this last time I adjusted the pinion just a tad to tight to the ring... the gear snapped right off the pinion shaft...lol Gotta love toyota!! What other vehicle could this even possibly last 60k???

I lost a driveshaft at 80 mph( bad u-joints) it bent the pinion, and cracked the case...I cant remember what was wrong with the carrier( I think it had something to do with the factory 4.88's?) at the time...I just needed a quick fix till I could find a good set of 4.88's..... 60k later, and I'm ill lookin 4 a good set of 4.88's
Now I have a 4.10 in the rear, and the 4.88's up front... I might just buy another 4.10 for the front and call it good... this is a highway vehicle only... not a trail rig(anymore...lol)

No biggie... I got 3 yrs out of my quick/temporary fix.... Now I just really need to search for a factory 4.88 in good shape....hint, hint......
