What is going on with my engine???

Everything in tune, I get a power loss every now and then....here's the kicker....I can be driving and it feels like i'm not running on all cylinders, I put it in neutral, shut engine off then restart....problem gone for rest of trip.

Possibly a short in your engine wiring harness somewhere? This is a major job to determine where it might be....

I would start by making sure no wiring harness is over stretched with the body lift.

the body lift has been on for 16yrs, why would this develop now? and why would turning engine off/on solve a problem with a short?

Actualy it may be an issue, It was fine for awhile but over time the wear and strech is now showing, Check the part of the harness that goes down the firwall over the trans to the O? sensor.
I have kinda the same thing, Mine was the part of the harness that jumps from the body to the engine.
While its running in idle lift up and down on it, I had a bad fusable link there that goes to the injectors, I redid all those links in the harness all the way to the VAFM.
With a body lift you are now putting more stretch at that very spot as that is where the o? sensor harness Y's off.

no check engine light. I really doubt it is a stretched harness
