lol your thread didnt go how you wanted it to. im not a hater im sure that you guys were not going 35mph or something(like most ppl in 3rd gear) and your prolly in a queit neghborhood where there isnt much traffic. sometimes ppl overreact because they did dumb stuff when theywer young. thats how my dad is so i can relate.

If he's a dick for trying to impart some knowledge, then proudly I myself am a dick to. We all do stupid stuff, luckly some of us survived, sadly a few have not. Oneday after a few years and a few buddy funerals you may have the privlage of being a dick to some kid who is doing some dumb SHIET.

 

interesting to see where some people draw the line between 'adventure' and 'dickedness'.
considering our trucks were never meant for rock climbing, there is a multi-million dollar industry supplying parts to do it and people do get injured or killed while doing it....
I guess surviving it gives one the right to tell other people not to do it... or how to do it correctly so people don't get hurt.

 

I wonder how many people saying 'don't ride the bumper that's a good way to get killed' properly support their truck when working on it, use seatbelts all the time, wear a helmet when riding a motorcycle...
...have a first-aid kit on hand when working on the truck, use steel-toed shoes, wear gloves....
...modifies / welds on the frame even though in most places that is technically illegal (for safety reasons)...
...the list goes on.
I'd be willing to bet everyone here does stupid things then goes on to say that others shouldn't do it.

And somewhat... Haven't been riding much. I'm really starting to hate being bent over all the time. Thinking about taking it back and getting a cruiser.

NorCrawler, seeing your posts on the forums, you have a nice Toy and are enthusiastic about your truck. The YT members let you off easy. If this were posted on other, more "dicky" forums, I think you would have really been in for a surprise.

 

See now... that's the perfect 'part and parcel' point.
We at yotatech are typically not dicks. There are a few that think because they've been around the block that they know better than everyone else. But like in life there are people that claim to know things ... and many are more dangerous to be around than not.

We are hopefully a bunch of people who are enthusiastic about our trucks and are humble enough to admit our short comings and not chastise someone for tomfoolery.

We are not 'elitist'... we are 'real'.
