what can the stock tire carrier hold?

hey, thook!
doesnt the Isuzu tire gates swing toward the drivers side??? and, from the Isuzus that ive seen, they may use a smaller diameter bar to support the tire...
anyone know for sure... just wondering if they will stand up to trail abuse...

Hey space-junk!!
Yep....it swings out from the driver's side.
This carrier has some really thick tubing....at least 1 1/2" in OD. It's one heavy mf'r, too. I'm thinking very seriously I may shave some of the unnecessary plate steel off to lighten it up a bit. Make it look less "bulky" at the same time.
