What is this bushing called?

what is this bushing called? and are they easy to replace? would jacking up the vehicle be required?

That is the tie rod end. Its part of the steering. They are not too difficult to replace, but can be a PITA and an alignment is needed after replacing it. Jacking the vehicle up is not required, but can make things easier.

That is a tie rod end. They are about 15 bucks from autozone. You don't need to jack up the truck.

thanks... i got a recall notice about the steering rod needing to be replaced. do they have to remove the tie rod ends to get to the steering rod? if so i'll just leave it to the dealership.
