Question What is this?

Can anyone tell me what Filter this is and what it is for?
I have one on each side. I followed the hose thats connected to it
and it goes behind the wheel well to underneath the truck. Lost it after
that >.> Previous owner did this and I have no way of contacting him.

Went to a few places and no one knows anything...

Looks like the diff breather mods.
Hoses should run to both of your diffs, this is for high water crossings so water does not enter the diffs when the stock breathers are submerged under water.

water is most likely condensation. pinch off the black hose below the filter, undo the clamp, r&r the filter (remove water), tighten clamp and unpinch the black hose.

reward yourself with a beverage of your choice, job well done!
