pressure washer from the open end of the frame rail at the back, stick the nozzle in any of the open holes along the frame rail, etc.
My problem is hay/straw in the frame rails (from a mouse maybe?), I thought about burning it out, but then I got sober and ditched that idea

Lots of water from the back of the frame. I've only been in the mud a few times but when I wash the 4runner dirt comes out months later. Check at a dealer that does the under coating for new cars. The place bought our Subaru at had a way of coating the inside of the frame on some vehicles. I think it was just a curved wand that they stuck in holes.
They make this stff for bicycles called frame saver. It's for steel bikes. It protects the bike from rusting from the inside out. I think it's 3M that makes this tool protectant for tooling and lathe/milling tables. You spray it one and it leaves a layer of protectant that will stay on for up to 2 years. I don't think it would last that long on a vehicle frame plus I think it'll attract dirt.

Uh thats you use the pressure washer, then waiting for it to dry and the oil is for?? You cant paint the inside of it, least not easy. The oil will coat the inside and you will be fine, if you go offroad alot close the ends up or clean the frame like monthly.

X3 on the thread jack ahahaha, anyway, I think the best way to go is to pressure wash it, put a quart of oil in each of the frame rails and after it coats the inside of the frame, box the ends in so no dirt can get into them. Maybe you can make sort of a home made latch that allows you access to the frame inside to clean but when your off roading you can have it locked???

...if its boxed the smallest amount of moisture will stay inside creating rust....BUT it will stay cleaner inside...
If the frame is open it can drain and dry out completely BUT it gets a lot dirtier inside...
Which is better?
