Yeah, I guess all the research EPA numbers must be wrong. 16 city/20 hwy

Your Taco has similar power and gets the same gas mileage. 180hp vs. 183hp

The 2nd gen xterras from 2005+ got a 265hp V6 from the factory.

That's a nice looking XTerra. Especially considering you didn't have to buy it. I would lose that brushgaurd, but that's just me.

Like others have said, no need to bail. I still creep around Tacomaworld, even though I no longer have my Tacoma.

Thanks guys, and i think i might stay around..like i said, its not the end of the road in the toyota world for me..just taking a slight detour. oh and to the previous post ^^ nothing major, just a bunch of small stuff exhaust leak ( needs a collector gasket, ive got it just gotta install it ), other than that just random small stuff. but my folks wanted me to have a reliable vehicle to get me to, and through college. If i had a job, i would defiantly buy the 4runner back from my dad and keep her for a trail rig...but thats just not in the financial plans right now. thanks for everyones input, and i will stick around on the forums until i get the next one. if anyone wants to be kept posted on the new X and her mods, let me know.

When one door closes, another one opens. It's probably best for you to drive something relatively stock and reliable now instead of a money pit like an old 4Run. Trust me, save your money for other things in college, I've been down that road before. By the way, I did not know such a town called Wye existed and it's not too far from me in Conway.

yes, X-terras are nice. If I ever went away from toyota it would be for an X-terra. THey are pretty slick.

I would loose that brushguard too and get one of Addicted's bumpers. They look great on his rig.

It Isn't supercharged yet, but it dynoed 225hp... Its pretty built. I'm putting the supercharger on around christmas. And I get 24mpg at best on the highway, got gas yesterday and got 21mpg mixed driving. I outran my cousins Xterra with it pretty bad, he regularly gets 5-17mpg and 19 highway. Its got some mud terrains on it, it could be capable but its a nissan and much more of a grocery getter in my eyes, heavy, underpowered, no manual hubs..

Can you take a snap shot of the dyno sheet?

Sorry, but its just not possible for a catback and cold air intake to give you anymore than maybe 10hp if that. Not even headers, .30 bore, etc will push it that much.

I have no camera at the current moment, nor a scanner or anything.. Hell I ain't even got internet I'm using the schools.. Its got that catback, and CAI which don't add much... Its been bored, port polish, matched injectors, some engine balancing, ported exhaust manifolds, removed emissions, buncha other crap done to it.. I don't care if you don't beleive me, but you'd better beleive if you wanna put a X-Turd against it I'll blow your doors off. I'm done here.

Thats because a 22R is a clackity old four banger built with old (but reliable) technology. My '86 gets 17mpg pushin 33" M/T's.. When it ran GOOD, and had STOCK tires It barely got 21 on the highway, and maybe nineteen around town.
