Cab Weights

How much does the cab weigh (about) for a 94 standard cab, no power options?

What is the best method for picking up said cab? Four guys in the corners, starps through the roof? Pull the doors or leave the doors on?

Thanks

i've seen it done with a fork lift before, but that's not something everyone has available of course. If you've got big enough friends that have strong backs, then I guess I would unbolt everything I could, including doors and give it a try.

Took one off with the help of 2 other guys. Removed the doors and the seat first. Personally after that I wished I had a forklift.

From: Nashville TN. I can help you if you're close BUT NOBODY CAN HELP YOU IF YOU DON'T FILL YOUR LOCATION IN!
Using the body to lift it can deform it.

I have limited height in my shop and was planning a cab swap... But the rust gods prevailed.

I was gonna remove the cab and place some 4x4's between the frame and cab.

Then, using post ties at Lowes

form a box with shortened sections of 4x4, under the two long ends of the 4x4's that ran under the cab, forming a box.

Then, using a high lift jack and cribbing, lift and crib.

Jacking from the center means you can crib the corners.

All 4 corners means it'll be stable.
