I assume he wanted plate style since he liked the look of the Warn so much...

My understanding is that the bumper will bolt right on. The only difference is that you have to use the signal light assembly from the pickups. Apparently, and this is just from the questions I've asked, the 4Runner lights won't fit the openings.

So, that's my 2 cents. I'm looking at adding the bumper next year. Which, I guess, isn't too far off...

from 90-91 the toyota runner and pickup had the exact same front end. After that they got different. Should be a bolt in but you will probibly need turn signals from a pickup. As RobD pointed out.

The Warn picture hides how far it sticks out in front of the truck - it is WAY out there.

I would go with this one instead.

If Brian Ellinger names it "Severe Use", you won't ever find anything to bring its strength into question...
i do like the look of that alot too but i think if i decide not to get the warn bumper ill just get an arb intsead

Hate to bump a two month old thread, but what did you decide? I am in the same quandary myself at the moment, I like the looks of the Warn, ARB & the FROR, but the FROR link says product not found; I haven't called them yet to see what's up.

The tube bumpers & stingers are just simply NOT for me lol

it'd be way cheaper to get someone local to just weld one up...spray some paint on there... you can get him to add mounts for lights, fairlead winch, recievers or some rings for towing. plus you get to call it custom and it will suit your specific needs

I just got my FROR bumper in this evening and should have it mounted up by the end of the weekend. It's definitely a very sturdy piece...

Not always. Sometimes the guys that produce in mass sell enough to off-set the cost of fabrication. The only local guy I know that welds well enough for me to trust would charge an arm & a leg to do what I could get online for just an arm
