WabFab Bikini top finally installed!!
Finally got her installed. Instructions were straightforward, once I figured out how the top fit down into the channel. The instructions should read: "Flip the top over dummy, there is a plastic strip that fits down into the channel deerrrrr"
Here she is in all her glory!
Here is how I chose to attach it:
I did not want to screw those silly brackets into the body, and ruin the flow of the sheet metal. Besides, Im not a fan of rust. This way, the gate does not contact that strapping, and its at the correct angle to get the top to pull tight. Just gotta shut it slow so it doesn't rattle and risk cutting the strapping.
I also took the liberty of showing the tools needed: 10mm, 12mm, and 16mm sockets, and a philips screwdriver. Thats it!
All in all, high quality, great instructions, and really nice fit and finish!

I like your idea of using the tail-gate latch. When i had my bikini on, i went ahead and drilled those holes. The bikini never quite got as tight as it need to be. Good job it looks good.

They are too far forward. The plastic adjustors on the strapping are sewn pretty far down, so it doesn't really work very well. Besides that, it tends to pull it down at too much of an angle, which makes it look bad anyway. Doesn't really flow with the body lines of the truck.

140K original miles, got it with 137K abd a bad motor...found a bunch of sand down it DOH! I have spent many hours and dollars getting her back to stock since the previous owner painted many plastic parts Krylon black....and didn't use flexible plastic paint so the paint was chipping off. ICK!
