W56 vs A340F Driveshaft
is a toyota driveshaft, a toyota driveshaft?
I'm swapping my dumb stupid A340F(w/ V2FA t-case) for a W56 this weekend, and I have the dreaded feeling that I'm going to swap to a different driveshaft.
It doesn't make sence to me why I would, but there is always something dumb.
Oh yeah, can someone tell me if there is actually a difference between the clutch line? It's the last part I need to get, and Toyota is telling me there are 2 different ones. I figure I can make it work either way, but I'l liek to do as little "persuaiding" as possible.
Either way, come hell or highwater, but sunday I will have an A340F + t-case for sale if anyone needs one...Cheap.

length
I am willing to bet that you can find/calculate the overall lengths of each setup and then determine whether the difference will be such that you need the "w" shaft. It only serves to answer your "yota shaft's a yota shaft?" question by saying that I had to get a new shaft when I did my A340H to r150 swap. You will probably want to look at the bolt pattern for the flanges as well. The two were different for me, so I went to a driveshaft shop and had them switch the flanges. I hope I have been of some help. Good luck.
