Exclamation Very curious 4WD problem! HELP!

well with winter coming im making sure everything is prepared. but i havent gone off road yet since i bought the truck in july, been busy with work and family. but recently i started using it and found some problems.
#1:
When in 4WD if i shut off the truck while still engaged in 4WD (yes in park) it will shutter forward like 6-12", almost like its slipping or something im not sure how to describe it other then the whole truck shutters forward.
#2:
After engaging 4WD high the light will come on for all of 30 seconds then it shuts off but im still engaged because when i go to turn it locks up sooner then in 2WD.

Could anyone shed some light on these problems please? I don't feel like facing a harsh winter with an improper working 4WD.

Sounds to me like problem number one could be a weak clutch, in 2wd the reason it doesnt do it is because its only two wheels trying to push the truck and its twice the gearing, in 4wd its half the gears and 4 wheels pulling.. would be my guess...

Problem 2 could be your plug for your light, it could be getting hot, expanding and seperating the terminals, breaking the connection to turn the light on, those plugs are kinda vulnerable being on the side of the transfer case, and you being up in canada, Im sure the salt and weather have killed the plugs, also maybe check the light bulb, and socket, could be the same issue. Good luck

Both of mine shudder if I turn them off in 4WD.
They feel like they want to move forward but can't because they're in park.

lol back to square one with my first problem then lol.
As for the second one, ill have a peak as there seems to be a few wires loose on this truck such as the oil pressure sender wire pulled out from the sensor.
