Can anyone give me a clue as to where the Variable Speed Sensor wire can be accessed, under the dash, hood?

 

what in gods name does it do?? best guess would be on the pass side kick panel......but it would help if i knew what it did....

 

Do you mean Vehicle Speed Sensor? If you have an auto tranny there is one on the back of the tranny and one behing the instrument panel. These both connect into two separate pins in the ECU.

If you have a manual tranny, you have one Speed Sensor on the tranny. It also goes to an ECU pin.

 

right under the flux capacitor, right next to the rotator splint... duh... isn't that where it's at on every vehicle, since like 1985?
