i think with with 39.5's your going to want bead locks because of how much rubber there is to roll over the bead. 36's are probs not as bad. 8psi is a good place to be btw. i ran my m/t's at 15 psi once and i was amazed at how much more traction you can get from dropping a little psi lol and i could have gone lower
. thing is do you think i would be better off with some super swamper tsl's since i have a decent amount of mud and not so much rocks? Vance you live in almost the same terrain as me, what do you think? man just hijacking this thread to the max lmao

yeah you need 5.29's lol how is it around town with 4.10's and 22re? haha. i have 31's, 4.10's and a 22re and its just sloooooow and i even have a header and glasspack lol i gotta tell you the 4runner im buying has a 3vze and its nice with that extra torque

yeah i hear yah. where i live there isnt allot of rocks maybe some river beds but thats about it that i have found lol. We basically only have forests and mud trails. and when i mean forests i mean weaving around trees and over logs haha im just lost on what tire to get... i love how original TSL SS's look so hmmm

It drives around town fine with 4:10's and the highways not bad just steep hills. If u wanted a mud tire I'd go with boggers but if ur terrains like mine go with an irok or ltb. I try to stay away from mud I'm not really setup for it with my gearing plus I hate having to wash the underside of the truck. In the snow tho an irok can't be beat.

I havent ran Iroks (yet) but have run a variety of MT's. MudRovers, BFG MT KM2's, Goodyear MTR... and TSL SX's
I'm just not a fan of TSL's. They provide the absolute worst ride on'road and really only serve a MUD purpose.. Wear extremely fast and uneven and are stupid expensive. I think for a trail rig, TSL's fit the bill pretty well but for an all-around tire, just not ideal.
The MudRovers did surprisingly well for me in slick situation but I wont get another set just because they lack the "size" (35 max) and sidewall protection i like.
BFG KM2 is just bad ass in all aspects. They're light, sturdy, wear well, arent as expensive as a TSL, ride beautifully on-road and just eat it up offroad in all terrains. Great sidewall protection as well. I'll definetly be going BACK to a KM2.
Wrangler MTR. Great tire! Just IME not very "great" in the mud. This is the old style MTR that isnt produced anymore (sad face). But definetly a legend of a tire and real shame they discontinued them. Sturdy tire, airs down great, awesome sidewall protection and genreal durability (i dont worry about puncuring one) and DID come in a great size, 37x12.5 x 15!! .. the era of the 15" rim and 35+ tires is over

hmmm ok good to finally get some good info on tires lol been trying to get some good info for a while and couldnt get any strait answers haha thanks!!. you know i really like the km2 but i dont want a 17" rim for a 37"
i know what you mean drew, times a changing, 15" is almost none existent unless under 35's. unless you go with interco so im going to just get iroks
done. nuff trying to decide haha. so Vance what exact tire do you have and what rims? want exactly what you have. i get some snow here, some mud, and a tad of rock so o think i will be happy with them. cheers

Vance this is a strange request, but could you get some drive way pics of your truck? I'm curious about flat stance, wheel well gap etc. Also, what do your 37's measure out to aired up? 36 some inches?

Vance I had a tad bit of trouble with the reinforcing plate from Scotty. Two of the holes, I believe the two outside, were just too close to each other. I just took a step bit to them to bore them out some and it was perfect after that. Just FYI!
