Valve Shims Mixed!!!

Okay guys.. so i made i big newbie dumb mistake when removing my heads off my 94 4-runners 3vze.. and placed them upside down not knowing the valve lifters and shims would come falling down!!! lol any ideas on how to get maybe a slight idea on where to relocate the mixed up mess.. before re-inserting them??

Don't worry, you were going to do a valve adjustment anyway. Remember?

It will be a little trickier for you. You have to have the cams and shims in place to do the measurement, but you may end up with one (or more) shims that are too thick to even allow you to turn the cam. So be careful, and if the cam seems to be lifting a rocker too high, stop and replace that shim with a thinner one.

It's will only take you a few minutes longer. It's much easier to adjust the valves with the head off.

talking of shims where is the best place to buy them and approx cost. mine need checking as i have 61,000 miles on clock. is there an estimated time for checking and changing shims. not expecting it to easy or quick.
