Vacuum leak located
Hi all, last week i was able to locate a vacuum leak in my 93 4runner from the rubber duct connection from the MAFM to the throttle body and since i could not find a used one i had to buy it from Toyota dealership at 80 US$
After installing it, idle went up to 1200 RPM and since i previously calibrated the AFM i had to do it again to try to get it to 800 RPM.
And now we come to the question, how much is it normal to open the idle screw located on the throttle body? mine is open one full revolution.
Please i need to know how many revolutions do i need to open it on average.
P.S: i located the leak blowing smoke from a cigar as suggested by Scotty Kilmer on Youtube.

There is really no set revolutions to turn idle air screw, as most of these motors (3vze)will have a different setting.
You want to turn screw either IN or OUT to get idle at 800 +/- 50
Just a suggestion, you might want to remove idle air screw and make sure o-ring is not damaged or worn out as it can cause idle problems also.

you can cover the head of the idle speed screw with rtv to seal it off, that'll tell you if it's leaking or changing position on it's own.

I don't think that the afm is where you should be setting idle speed... I suppose that you mean that you put it back to the factory setting, which was a good idea.

As for the afm, it was opened when i bought the car that's why i'm suspecting the previous owner messed with it and always try to set it right.

In fact neither Rockauto or Dorman are an option to me, i live in Beirut Lebanon (middle east) and if i couldn't find used part i'm stuck with Toyota dealership who will rip me off. Once i asked for the throttle cable and they asked 100 $ more or less for it, so i went back, took it off, greased it and it is working super and that was a year ago.
