Vacuum Gauge Hook up

Vacuum Gauge Hook up
I have a 91 Yota 4x4 Pickup 22RE . I am installing a Vacuum Gauge and the installation instructions are not very clear. I have two questions
(1) With the power wire, do I have to go directly to the Battery or can it be hooked up under the Dash?
(2) Where do I locate the Manifold vacuum line, There are so many to choose from, which one am I looking for ?
