V6 with high idle, yes another question, but....

I have been through a lot of threads in my search but I can't figure it out. I am idling at 1,500 rpm after full temp has been reached. It is not AC kick in or PS pump kick in. I think it is the temp sensor, but.... when I push hard on the arm in the idle direction (driving the butterfly) next to the TPS, I can get it to kick down to 1,000 rpm ish. When I remove force, it jumps back up. Do I need to adjust the TPS? None of the vacuume accuators are pushing on the arm with any tension when in idle.

I am considering picking up a used complete throttle body assembly with complete sensors, but do not want to give in that easily!

Check inside the TB to see if there's gunk built up holding the butterfly open.
