Last weekend my front driver's side upper control arm broke clear through. I am thinking about replacing both upper and lower on both sides. Has anyone done a right up or could provide a step by step? OUCH!

 

with rust like that you should check the rest of the frame before you waste your time and money only to have the truck fold in half from frame rot.

 

thank you for the response I had my truck on my buddy's lift last month and inspected the frame for rot. Surprisingly, it was solid. I noticed the control arms but didn't realize they were so bad. My bed is rotted pretty good too.
