Took it in and had the codes ran on the tranny, turns out all the solenoids and the speed sensor are not getting power The tech at the tranny shop said I probably have a bad ECM although he didn't have time today to trace the wires coming out of the ECM to check for output. He looked underneth and couldn't find a break in the wiring harness between the tranny and the fuses, any thoughts???

tried another ECM and still the same problem , traced all the wires and checked for continuity and there all good. Pulled the pan and all the solenoids click when given 12V. For some reason the computer is not telling the tranny to downshift to 1st gear. I need some help guys, I have had two tranny guys and toyota tech guys look at this thing and they are stumped

 

Which trans do you have, what codes do you have (be specific)...1992 4runner, v6 correct?

 

a340h, codes are for all four solenoids and both speed sensors.....

 

ok so is the ecm recieving the power to supply voltage for the solenoids? It sounds like its time for an electrical troubleshooting guide with some detailed pics of the circuit you are working on.
