*Update* NEW MEATS

Well since my super swampers have been gettin a little low on tread for a while now...i been looking for that AMAZING deal on some tires...

and i finally found it..

for $350 (and $10 in gas..lol) i got these
31x10.50 Pro-Comp X-Terrains...with about 14/32nds of tread left!!!

and got rid of my roll bar in the bed..(for $100..went towards the X-terrains..lol)

not too fond of the look..but i think i will get used to it..now i can get me a nice topper!!!!!!!!!

enjoy you guys

ya thats what i thought!!

i figured when i met the guy to get em..that 2 or 3 would be GREAT then 1 or 2 would be almost bald..lmao..

no bad cuts..no lugs are missing (unlike my swampers..lol)..and only one tire has a patch

i cant wait to get em mounted and balanced to see how they ride!

nice. yeah, if you look around you can get a good set of used tires for pretty cheap. I sold my super swampers for $125 and they were in decent condition. Just don't have the room to keep them.

I picked up a full set of ProComp AT's on some Xtreme Allows a while back for $400, but only got about another 6000 miles out of the tires

The deals are out there; I found these on Craigslist

Can't wait to see 'em mounted! Those look a little larger than 31"s though 33"s maybe?

yep they are 31x10.50's

i already put em up next to my swampers..and unmounted they are the same size..so im thinkin they'll be a little bigger when mounted and inflated...lol

i found em on craigslist..it was about a 110mile roundtrip to get em..lol..took my grand fathers ford ranger to get em..cuz it gets GREAT gas mileage...

and yes the date on my camera is wack...i've set it numerous times but it eventually messes up again..so o well..

oooo im sooo ready to get rid of the SUPER HARSH RIDE of the swampers..and the INSANE road noise..lol

i might be able to get em mounted tomorrow..but if not they will be monday!..will post more pics when mounted

I like my claws, I think if I were to do it again I go with the bias 'cause they're a little more aggressive. But who cares!! You scored yours for DIRT CHEAP!!!

Of course if I do get some new meat(and I'm into a LOT of money) I'd get those new Interco Trxus Mud Terrains. Wicked sidewalls, they're siped(stupid claws ARE NOT), thick tread block with good spacing...

cool find man, iv got one for a trail spare. my friends got em on his yota and it rides decently, still has some noise (there 35s tho). they do alright on hard pack or any dry condition so far. suck in the mud and snow tho, the directional pattern is there down fall IMO.

When ya start paying that kinda money for a 2 month old set of wheels & tires. You gotta wonder if the previous owners truck is sitting on bricks!

wow.....yea yours is an AMAZING DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....better than mine for sure..lol

for one..i didnt get rims..lol (i got 2 sets though) and i still have to mount and balance mine..lol

i dont expect these to be just amazing in the mud..but they better be better than something like buckshot's or dynapro's lol..i think these tires are gonna see a little bit of everything..mud, sand, and rock..logs..and whatever else i think i can make it over..lmao

my truck is gonna turn into more of an exploration/camping type rig i think...mild lift, 33's, V6 power or 4bt diesel?, topper to keep my gear dry, big front and rear bumpers, winch of course(probably designed to be removable to put it at either the front or rear), budbuilt skids..im out of the balls out muddin stage and into the sensible and CAPABLE rig stage..lol.. i want my rig to be able to do just about anything i want it to..and since i most likely wont ever be seeing any rockcrawling..at least not extreme stuff..i wont do an SAS...its just not something that i desire at this moment..

of course i've always wanted a 89-95 ext cab..so all of this stuff will most likely be on one of them..lol..i think i will eventually sell the '86 just because its a little outdated..and parts are hard to find (junkyard parts i mean)..and the 3rd gens are just that much nicer inside and out!

I Had a couple friends with the x-terrains and they do suck in the mud but wear pretty good on street if your alignment is right...
