unpredictable power delivery

Ok so heres the deal ive got a 22re in my runner, finally picked up some bfg 30 all terrains thank god....the 32's were killin me....any how the intakes are about as open as you can get them and gradually tappered to the head where i did a gasket match port and cleaned up all the burrs and what nots. Polished the combustion chamber, opened the exuast ports as far as i dare and then lmfao.....i know i know, them match ported the stock cast iron exuast manifold and got that all cleaned up. Egr is removed as well as some other smog rediculousness. Timing is a 9° ive adj. my mixture to the best side of rich. The thing runs like a raped ape, never been in a toyota pick up this fast let alone a runner. The thing is when i first fire it off and say maybe for the first 20 min. it pulls reall really strong and then starts to fall off and the power band (i put in the pink one )starts to go flat. Sometimes times its the other way around after a little while my check engine light comes on and its like i picked up 10 hp.....i am boggled on this???? Any thoughts? I do remember reading somewhere about a "fuel cut issue" where...i think...the computer cuts back the fuel delivery because its being run outside its capable parameters. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with anything like what i am describing or this "fuel cut" issue?....oh and swapped the battery and airbox positions i set up a cold air short tube intake using all the factory parts....cepti the tube itself of course.

Have you checked what the code is when the MIL comes on?
That would be a good place to start.

You know i havent been able to find my book.....i think pigmies may have run off with it. I tried searching online but i never found anything but one link after another. So if anyone has a list of the codes i would greatly appreiciate it.

Wow cant get nothing past this one^^^^^youre ultra brite thanks for all of the off topic input. You provide a priceless service for the members of yotatech. Now back to whatever roleplaying computer game it is that has held your attention for the last 156 hrs straight.
