U-Joint at Diff leaking

So, looks like my rear diff has a slow leak from where the u-joint goes into the diff. Is this an easy fix? Or should I just keep my eye on the diff oil and wait to fix it until I have some cash for gears (4.88) and a locker and do everything at the same time?

thanks,
E

U joints don't leak. Pinion seals do.

pinion seal

i had an old ford mustang with 500,000 roll into work the other day. pinion seal and diff cover leaking oil. rear end was shot. wait till you got the money to do all the axle work you want done. pay attention to the oil level and plan on getting that work done soon.

You can change it in under an hour and the seals under 20 bucks. Marlin makes an HD one too. Tons of write ups on it. Just do it.
