Turn signal / marker combo mod: wheres the instructions!
I have a custom front bumper and need tow wire my turn signals up into my side markers. I know this is a common thing to do. Is there an online guide I can print out?
What are the best bulbs to use for this?
Thanks

I did this the homeade way. I took the housing for the running lights, and took my turn signal lights from my bumper and drilled 1"? holes in them with drill bits and a metal file. (it files easily) The sockets plug in and turn just like they were factory. There's only one real place to mount them without hitting the fender behind or ruining the running lights.

Why couldn't you use a flasher relay from a domestic and wire it in? Their brake lights double as turn signals. Could you do that?

I used this Taco mod and modified the marker lights on my '86 4Runner.

You'll be using the #1157 bulbs(which are dual filimant). Get some bondoglass or just bondo to make the mounts. It's a very simple mod but does require some sort of fab skills. Using a Dremel tool makes this job alot easier. There's been plenty of this type of mod being done here on the site, just search for it!!!
