turn signal issues...

When I turn the headlights on, the right turn indicator lights up on the dash, and the rear turn signal lights up constantly. Turn the headlights off, and turn the right signal on, the dash light come on faintly with the blinker. Als, was absolutely pouring last night when it started. Been searching the forum, I think I know what it is but I'ld like to get some opinions before I try and find it.

try checking the grounds at the lights. you might also check the tail light bulbs, for the the wrong type of bulb.for instance a back up bulb in a stop / turn socket. it also might be bare wires touching ,letting power pass between them.

It could also be a bad combination switch.

think i found it!

I was thinkin it might be a ground issue... I took the tail light assembly appart and discovered the right side trailer lights...Disconnected the trailer lights and problem went away. SO, Im thinking its the control box for the trailer lights. Went to cut the tape off, and the tape was full of mud and water! So, I'm sure it's either a short or the control box went bad. Will get a new box and just rewire it.

Thanks for the replies!
