Basic bolt ons for the LS1 put it (dyno tested by Corvette mag) right around 450hp to the crank w/ cam. That + 100 shot n2o puts you at 560 or so (actually nets you more than 100hp due to volumetric efficiency or some such), with a dead reliable motor. Yes, it may be 60's technology with a 21st century twist, but it sure as hell works hehe.

How exactly does your external fuel tank work? I'm curious and I'd like to do something relatively close to that... (Have to fill up every 3 days currently )

why the 1jz-gte (2.5L I-6)? As far as external dimensions I have no idea, however I do know that the 2jz-gte (3.0L I-6 twin turbo) is several inches longer than the 7mgte (3.0L I-6 single turbo)

I would also like to do this in my 87, having had one in my sc300 makes me want another one. Both the 7m and 1jz came out of the Mkiii Supra so I'm sure there wouldn't be a whole lot of difference.

I'am doing a 7MGE conversion in my 89 4wd. I got the motor and the accessories out of it as well. The truck is auto but I have an R150F with the pedals and computer out of a 92 4Runner. Now I looked all over that site but I think I need the Supra turbo bellhousing to bolt up to my R150F, right? The are both R series transmissions so I don't see why it won't be a direct swap but I didn't see anything that says it will.

Yea I saw those when I went through my Supra phase, still love them, I know a guy who has a Toyota pickup thats prerunned out that has a 7m-gte turbo, Its a good motor when you do a proper metal head gasket change, its pretty quick.
