Well, I must say I was going to pop in a K&N filter, go on about my way and not give it another thought....until I read what the majority said about them on this forum. Sigh.
Now it seems I'd be doing my old friend a disservice by using the K&N air filter. (I'd already ordered the K&N *oil filter, so I hope he survives that).
On the true flow websight, it only shows trucks back to 1990. Mine is an 87' 4Runner. The air filters for the 1990 4Runners show a 2.4L engine (same as mine). Those were the 22re also, right?
My question: Will the true flow for the 1990 4runners would fit my 87' 4Runner? Or do I need to get the dimensions order one of their universal ones?
PS I'm still searching forums for the answer but haven't found it.
