trouble starting
Hey guys (and gals) I have a 2WD 93 pickup 22RE aoutomatic, and I am having troble starting it after it has been parked for a while. It take a coulpe of cranks to start it up. I has been in the 80's and 90's lately so I know it cant be the weather. I was thinking it was the cold start injector, but the other day I put the key in the on position, reached in the back seat in seach for my Anatomy book, then went to start it (took about 15-20 seconds) it started right up. This got me thinking that maybe it taking a while for the fuel to get to the engine. What do you think? It has 95,000 mile on it. I replaced the fuel filter about 1500 miles ago...

Fuel pump? Check all your essestials, air, fuel, spark.
Make sure you have sufficient pressure at the rails, make sure no vaccum lines are off, or big leaks in the intake, and check to make sure your plugs are getting good fire...Start with the basics.

I already did... I got the air filter from the dealer, NGK plugs, O'Reilly wires, WIX Fuel filter, and Cap and rotor from the dealer as well. They dont have more than 3000 miles on them.

Sounds like you have air getting into your fuel line from a leak. This will let the fuel fall back to the tank and will have to pump to the front. 15-20sec is a long time though. These engines don't pump fuel until the engine is cranking unlike a crap chev or something that pumps when the key is in the on position.
Could also be your pickup in the distributor as without that pulse your injectors will not fire.
