trd supercharged 3.4?

Anyone know where these can be bought? Or is it more cost effective to get a 3.4 and throw a S/C on myself?

Thank you

you have to do it yourself. it was an after sale add on through a toyota dealership, or find a used one.
i got mine through e-bay from a yota dealer in virginia.

search for and read texas ace threads and speedys threads for good tuning info, etc. URD also has good support and products.
you have to tune with extra fuel to prevent detonation and mod the trans (import transmission IPT) if your rockin an automatic.

BTW been to willow springs next door many times for the motorcycle road races and raced my YSR/YZ60 at the kart track and streets of willow. some good memories and some not so good ouch!!

URD sucks. They don't care about the old products or customer service. I have a second gen sc. Unless you're ready to drop close to another $1000 after purchase of the sc, run premium fuel, carry a spare belt incase yours breaks since its not a common Item, deal with tuning.... Keep it stock.

wow i didn't know.
since i have only dealt with them on a limited basis, i bought an underdrive pulley when they were on sale, thought they provided good aftermarket support for the SC.

since i have a SC and pulley but have not pulled the trigger and installed it yet for financial reasons i'll have to take vitals word since he has more experience than me on the issue.

but I also have a 2010 acura tsx as a daily driver so I can still get good mpg. Once you get started on that performance hunt, nothing is ever enough. You'll want to add more things to get more HP and more HP. It doesn't end till your wallet breaks.

I'm actually looking to completely rebuild the motor with upgraded internals for more boost and possibly turbos. It just doesn't stop. Keep it simple, Keep it reliable.

"it doesn't end till your wallet breaks" quote vital22re.

horsepower is like a drug once you start...

kinda where i'm at, i got the swap finished, ran out of money and haven't worked steady since. that will put the brakes on a project.

after driving a 22r for 12 years (and a 20r for 10 years), the stock 3.4 is a big improvement, except in the woods or the snow where a 4 banger hooks up easier.
at least i have the AC working until i get around to the next step of the project.

If you've already got the sc, then I say send it out to be reconditioned. Wait till you get the rest of the parts; Gauges(boost, afr, tranny temp if auto), 7th injector kit/methanol injection, headers, exhaust,Intake. Then when you collect all the pieces its go time. Its just not as cheap as everyone things. You gotta have the supporting mods.

yep, good advice.

since my SC is new, i am waiting for the dough to do the supporting mods, tranny and tuning, before i charge it.
i have searched and read the above mentioned threads so i know better.
yotatech rocks...
