trany help

hye trying to figure out if i have a W type or an R type trany how can i tell as far as i know i have a w56

look on the plate in the door jam and it will say also what year of vehicle

1986 You will be looking under the hood, at a metal info plate riveted to the upper firewall. Look for a part that says "A/TM" A=axle code, TM=Transmission

Drivers door jamb info started in 1989.

srry guys i forgot to put the yr of my truck its 90 and i think i do have a w56
