Transmission will not line up on the bottom 95 4runner

So I have been working working on a 95 4 runner that i picked up a few months ago that need the transmission replaced dew to over heading and not shifting once it go warm and after replacing the solenoid and fluid with no luck it was time to move forward. I was able to pick a used transmission with 90,000 miles. Got in place and the top bolts line up witch are the 17mm bolts but the bottom 4 witch are 14 or 15mm can't recall off the top of my head will no line up and there less then 1/8 to a 1/4 of a inch off maybe less then that so am at a bit of a lost on this as i have try a few different things to try and get them to line up. I find it hard to believe i got the 6 17mm to go in and bolt in with out any issue but not these. Also what is the easy way to spin the torque converter to get it to line up with the fly wheel. Any help would be great thanks.

on a 22re, the lower bolts for the transmission go into a bracket that bolts to the side of the engine. loosen the bolts that hold the bracket to the engine. this should allow it to move enough so you can line it up.

also loosen off the bolts you have installed so the trans can rotate a bit to help line them up

all this assuming you have the correct replacement trans and its installed correctly

I spun the TC through the small sq hole in the bottom of the bell houseing with a screw driver. (kinda like what you do when you back the adjuster wheel off of drum brakes) you can also reach through the starter hole, through the holes in the flex plate to spin it that way also.

doesnt sound like you have things lined up right.

adjust the back end up and down while pulling the trans toward the engine (a rachet strap can help with this if you dont have a helper)

snap some pics for better advise
