Transmission and Transfer Case

Truck: 1993 Toyota Pickup Extended Cab 4x4 3.slOw V6. SR5.

I have the opportunity to pick up a transmission and transfer case for pretty cheap. They are supposedly from a 1994 Toyota 4x4 3.sl0w V6 also. I was wondering if there is a way to know if they are the same as mine? I want the transmission to build and put in my truck. I want the transfer case to hopefully do dual cases, but from what Ive read....it wont work because they will be both chain driven. Correct?

So how do I know what is in my truck and how do I know what the guy is selling? Any info would be great. Thanks

t-cases

Chain drive cases will have 5 bolts on the output cover where the rear driveline comes out. Gear drive cases have 7. You can do duals with one chaindrive case and one geardrive. the geardrive mates to the trans and I think Marlin has the adaptor to go from the geardrive to the chaindrive.
