Transmission & T-Case Questions

Hi guys, It's been quite a while since I have posted. Or even been online.

I have an 87 4Runner with the Turbo 22RE

I have an R151F bell housing with R150F transmission. I could only find the bell housing, not the whole transmission. I think that means I have a chain driven Transfer case.

My questions are.

1. Can I do a dual tcase setup?
2. How can i tell which year transmission and tcase i have? I need to rebuild the t case. it sounds like its going to explode on deceleration. i also need a slave cylinder.
3. what would be my best clutch options? the orileys clutch option for a 87 turbo slips like crazy!
4. does anyone have a complete r151f for sale?
5. I want to do a driveline brake. any suggestions?

Thanks guys!!!!!!

whole transmissions can be purchased through marlin, although they aren't cheap. they also have a clutch kit, and master/slave cylinders. I am currently running one of their transmission with their 1200lb clutch and OEM slave/master cylinders and steel braided line. I know I sound like a salesman here, but trust me im not. my w56 was marked as such, I think under the shifter boot? hard to remember. if the transmission is original to the truck I would think you could just use the year chart on the marlin website to figure out what you have.

Transmission is not stock to truck. Turbo 4Runner only came with automatics. This is a swap I did long long ago. And I forgot to write down all the important information when I was putting together the build. Lolol.
