Transfer case service

Transfer case service
So, I went to the shop (normally trustworthy, but starting to suspect not so great at complex stuff) and asked about transfer case service ... at 130,000. They said don't touch it unless frequently submerging. What do you all think?

I always change my t-case fluids whenever i do the trans. They are definetly out of touch if they say to NEVER change it. I'm not sure if the owners manual specifies tcase specifically, but if not just do it at the same intervals as the trans.

Thanks. This was what I was thinking. I think the manual says around 130,000 or so. I think the problem is that the shop isn't used to handling more complicated stuff.

changing tcase fluids is not a complicated job, no more than a 30 minutes once you have the vehicle on a lift and requires a grand total of one socket. If they are confused about THIS I personally wouldnt trust them with WASHING the vehicle, none the less actually trying to maintain it.
